The barque' Bengal which left here on April 1, arrived at Newcastle on the 19th, and the Hydra which sailed from Port Chalmers on the 2nd, reached Newcastle pu the 186h. The barque Mendoza has been chartered by the New Zealand Meat Preserving Company to load at the Bluff, where 800 tons of cargo await shipment. The brigantine Magellan Cloud, from Sydney, arrived last evening with cargo. The s.s. Albion, from Melbourne via the Bluif, arrived at 8.15 this morning, having experienced strong S. B. gales on the passage from Melbourne to the Bluff; thence to six o’clock this morning N.W. winds ard thick weather, followed by S.W. winds, which freshened to arrival.
