EOSLYN, C AVERSE AM, PORT CHALMERS, AND TAIERL Notice is hereby given, that the Revising Officer for tbe above Electoral L’istricts will hold Courts for the Revision of the respective Lists of Voters for the said Districts, at the times and places following— For the districts of DUNEDIN, EOSLYN, and CAVEHSHAM, on Thursday, the 16th day of May, 1872, at 10 o’clock in the forenoon, at the Resident Magistrate’s Court, Dunedin. For the District of PORT CHALMERS, on Saturday, the 18th day of May, 1872, at 10 o’clock in the forenoon, at the Resident Magistrate’s Court-house, Pert Chalmers. For the District of TAIERI, on Saturday, the 25th day of May, 1872. at 10 o’clock in the forenoon, at the Resident Magistrate’s Court house, Outrain. At which said Courts will be heard and determined all claims duly made to have names inserted in the said respective Lists of Voters, and all objections duly made to the names of persons being retained or placed on the Electoral Rolls of the said Districts. The names of persons whose Christian names or whose qualifications shall be wholly omitted, where by law required to be specified in the said lists, or whose place of abode or the nature or description of whose qualifications are insufficiently described for the purpose of being identified, will he expunged unless the matter so omitted or insufficiently described, be then supplied. The Revising Officer will also, at the said Courts, make such corrections in the said Lists, and do all such other acts as are required of him by the “ Registration of Electors Act, 1866.” Dated at Dunedin this first day of May, 1872. No. I.—The 24th iuat., being the anniversary of Her Majesty’s Birthday, the Volunteers will parade at 9 o’clock, a.m., to fire a feu de joie. Every man will he provided with three rounds blank ammunition. The artillery will be supplied with twentyone rounds Armstrong blank ammunition. The Dnuedin Naval Corps will be provided with Howitzer ammunition to lire the salute at 12 o’clock noon. The New Zealand ,War Medal will be issued Jafter parade to tho undermentioned men : Private Richard Haldoine Trooper M. C. Gibbons Lance-Sergt. W. A. Fork Trooper C. H. Ellaby Private Thomas Feehan Trooper Hy. Inman Davis Taranaki—M.s. H. P. Chapman. No. 2.—The undermentioned corps will return into store for Government and Armourer’s Inspection all arms, accoutrements, and implements on the date set opposite the name of each: — Port Chalmer's Naval, Ist Friday in June South District Rifles, Ist Monday do. North Dunedin Rifles, Ist Wednesday do. Waikari Rifles, Ist Thursday do. Portobello Contingent, Ist Tuesday do. West Taieri Rifles, 2nd Tuesday do. East Taieri Rifles, 2nd Wednesday do. No. 3. The Dunedin Cadets will parade at the Orderly Room on Saturday next, to fire for Major Richardson’s prizes, also prize presented by M Shell, Jlsq.; condition of match to be seen at the office.
