Public Notices. TO THE LANDED PROPRIETORS AND OTHERS OE THE PROVINCE. Gentlemen, — THE “ Land Transfer Act, 1870” (based upon the original Torrens’s Land Act), is just closing its first year of existence, and so far as the country is concerned I believe, as some of you may know, the result is more than satisfactory ; as for myself, a Licensed Broker under the Act, the result is flattering,—in other words, I have received during the year an ample share of the business going, in Dunedin, from the Suburbs, and throughout the Province. I beg, therefore, to tender my special thanks, and solicit, while continuing to merit, a continued and enlarged amount of that business, consisting principally of Transferring Titles of Landed Property from under the old to the new Act, preparing Conveyances or Transfers of Land from Seller to Buyer, Preparing Leases, Mortgages, &c,, &c. I take this opportunity to solicit attention to the other branches of my business, viz.— 1 act as Agent for Absentee, and other Proprietors of House, Land, and Investment Property, Collect Rents, Interests, &c. I Let and Sell, on commission, Town, Suburban, and Rural House and Landed Property ; also effect Eire Insurance on Dwellings, Furniture, Farm Buildings, &c., in one of the best and strongest Oflices. Messrs Dean, Steel, and Co.— Gentlemen, —Some mouths age a young mar called upon us and purchased a battle of “ The Blood Purifier,” Old Dr Jacob Townsend’s Sarsaparilla, So delicate was his state of health that it was the subject of remark; there was hurried breathing, emaciation, debility, and other unmistakeable symptoms of phthisis. He called several times afterwards, each time buying a bottle, and so improved in appearance that we congratulated him upon it. He said that Old Ur Jacob Townsend’s Sarsaparilla had saved his life, and also that of his brother, who was far gone in consumption, and who had been taking it with the same benefit as himself. Both brothers are now in vigorous health, each weighing more than 13 stone.— Robert Roper and Son. Sold by all druggists at Home and in the Colonies. Chief Depot—l3l, Fleet street, London.
