The amount of revenue received at the Cus-tom-house on goods cleared for consumption to-day, was £282 6s SJ.

There is every appearance of prices becoming firmer in breadstuff's. Trade parcels of town brands have been ihoved at Lll 15s, and the enquiry for the last few days has been brisker. Second-class flour finds purchasers at L 9. Bran is very plentiful, and buyers for parcels are met at L2 10s. Pollard is saleable at L 3 15s. Oatmeal in good local demand, at Ll3. Pearl barley is wanted at L2O. For good milling wheat there is but a languid enquiry. A good many parcels have been offered during the week, but transactions have been light. The value for prime lots is 4s 6d per bushel. Fowl wheat is scarce. Milling oats arc offering freely at Is lOd to 2s ; feeding samples at Is 9d. Malting barley may be quoted at 4s 9d ; feeding lots are not very plentiful, and arc selling at 2s 3d to 2s 6d. Straw, L2 ss, Hay, L 3 15s. Chaff, L 3 13s. Potatoes, L 4 10s. A. Mercer reports for the week ending April 20 :—Retail prices only—Fresh butter, in 41b. and lib. prints, best quality. Is per lb, ; second quality, lOd per lb. ; frosh butter in lumps, lOd per lb; powdered and salted butter, lOd per lb; salt butter, in kegs, 9d per lb. The supply of fresh butter this week is not quite so plentiful, and is met by the demand; and storekeepers, instead of increasing their stocks of salted, are finding a market at previous quotations. There has been slight reaction in the cheese market; prices have advanced a little, and the quantity in stock is considerably lighter’. Best quality from (id to 8d per lb ; second quality, 6d per lb. Side aud rolled bacon U very plentiful, and selling from 9d to lOd per lb. In Colon al hams there is always a good demand, at Is per lb. Eggs are so scarce that the requirements of the trade can barely be satisfied. This has not been the case for many years at this season ; and the price ranges from 2s 6d to 3s per doz.
