News has arrived here that Mr Karslake, member for Christchurch, has resigned, Mr John Jebson is a candidate. Napier. A child, 19 months old, has been poisoned by eating lucifers. Grahamstown. Mr Horton, late proprietor of the Timaru Herald, has purchased a half-share in the Thame# Advertiser.
