MAYOR’S COURT.
This Day. (Before his Worship the Mayor.) DRUNKENNESS. J. Taylor was lined 40s or 24 hours imprisonment charge ok assault. David Thompson was charged with assault!;. g James Harvey, at Daere, in the district of Southland, on the 2Gth of January last. Detective Farrell apprehended the prisoner on warrant, and the Inspector said he was no doubt the man against whom information had been laid. His Worship remand the prisoner to Invercargill. VAGRANCY. Ah Ping, a Chinaman, was brought before the Court by the police as being of unsound mind, and likely to become dangerous to himself and others. Remanded for medical examination.
