Rangatira arrived last night from Oamaru. The ss. Omeo, from Melbourne via the Bluff, arrived at 8 a.m., this morning, and experienced strong head winds from the Bluff. . The barque P. C. E., was signalled at the Heads this morning, and was towed to a discharging berth by the p. s. Geelong. The brig Pakeha, 173 tons, reported yesterday as having arrived at the Heads, sailed in this forenoon, and was bei tired in shore for the discharge of her cargo of timber, which will be used, as other cargoes to follow, in the construction of the Port Chalmers Railway works. The brig, Our Hope, loading for Port Chalmers, was to sail from Geographic Bay on or about the sth March. The barque Midas, loading at Port Bunbury, for Lyttelton, was expected to follow in about three weeks after the departure of the Pakeha. The ship City of Dunedin, for London, with passengers and cargo, was preparing to tow to sea at 2 p.m. to-day. The s s Phcebe was this morning taken out of the graving dock preparatory to her sailing for the North this afternoon. The schooner Mary Cummings, for Adelaide, passed out this morning from the Heads. The schooner Dagmar. bound south, put back yesterday to the shelter of the Heads. The ps Wallace sailed this forenoon for Oamaru.
