MAYOR'S COURT.
This Day. (Before Lis Worship the Mayor.) DRUNKENNESS. Elizabeth Alowbray was fined 40s for one offence, and a mouth’s imprisonment with hard labor for habitual drunkenness. Henry Rudd was fined 10s or 48 hours. VAGRANCY. Ellen Grutt was charged with using abusive and indecent language. The defendant, who was in ill-health, was discharged with a severe caution. OFFENCES AGAINST THE BYE-LAW'S, Samuel Porter was summoned for allowing his chimney to be on lire in Clarke street. Case dismissed on payment of costs. Quong Hing was charged with causing a nuisance in Princess street. Case adjourned. The same defendant was charged with burning a quantity of wood in an open space adjoining his premises, and lined 20s. Thomas Carroll was lined 5s and costs for obstructing the carriageway in Princes-street.
