MAILS CLOSE. Thursday, March 28. tfor Timaru, Akaroa, Lyttelton, and Westland, per s.s. “Maori,” at 10.30 a.m. Saturday, March 30. For Northern ports of New Zealand, per 8.8. Keera at 6 a.m. For Southland, per s.s. Storm Bird at 4.30 p.m. British mails, via Suez, will be despatched from this Office, per s.s. Rangitoto, on or about Wednesday, the 3rd proximo. British mails, via San Francisco, will be despatched from this office on Friday, 12th proximo. N.B.—The 29th inst. being “Good Friday,” this office will be closed, and all mails usually despatched on that day will be made up on Thursday evening at 8 p.m. ARCH.
