This Day. (Before J. Fulton, Escp, E.M.) Pawnbroker’s Licence. Louis Lyons applied for a pawnbroker’s license, which w r as granted. Civil Cases. Godso v. Cornelius.—L7 Is for money lent. Judgment by default for the plainlilf for the amount claimed with costs. Smith v. Rossbottom.—LG. A churn for wages. This was one of a number of claims made upon the defendant by certain men engaged by him to go down in the yacht Champion to the wreck of the Ahuriri. The evidence was the same as reported last week, in which it was proved the plaint Jf refused to do the work he engaged to do. Judgment for the defendant. Brown v. Tapper.—Ll Is 9d, the value of a bale of hair entrusted to the defendant to sell, and for which he had received the money. Judgment for the amount with costs. LICENSING MEETING. (Before James Fulton, , 8.M., James Brown, Esip, J. P., and Valpy, Esip J. P.) Application was made by Holmes for a transfer of license from Millar and Hall, of the Robert Burns Hotel. Application granted.
