The Gazette' of yesterday contains regulations for the intro luction of immigrants on nomination by residents, also for obtaining advances of money for the purposes of water supply to goldfields. It appoints Mr John Cumin Kxaminer of Titles for the Otago Laud Registration District, and Capt. Jones Major of the Second Battalion of Otago V olunteers.

The February returns shew that one child out of three boru dies within two years of its birth. The Mayor has forwarded L 64 in aid of the Greymouth sufferers. Mr Lennox reports Caledonians.
