MAILS CLOSE. {Wednesday, February 28tb. For Northern Ports of Now Zealand par s.s. Taranaki, at 4.30 p.m. Thursday, February 29. For Timaru, Akaroa, Lyttelton and \\ cstlaud, per s.s, Maori, at 3.30 p.in. For Southland, per s.s. Stoim Bird, at 4.30 p. m. For Registered letters, money orders, and newspapers, one hour previous. On the 24th lust., and every -Tuesday and Saturday thereafter, mails for Waipori will be closed with the morning mails at 6 o’clock, and will be received at Dunedin on Mondays and Thursdays, at 10 a.m, ARCH BARR, Chief Post-Biaster.
