Commercial.
The amount of revenue received at the Cus-tom-house on goods cleared for consumption to-day, was £876 4s 9d. Owing to small stock, and short supply, the flax inartiet since the date of our last advices, via San Francisco, has been exceedingly strong, and a further advance has been established to the extent of L2 to L 3 per ton on good kinds. About 1100 bales have been offered at auction, of which 900 have been sold at the advance quoted, the balance chiefly consisting of old import in second hands was neglected. Deliveries are going on most satisfactorily, and for the eleven months ending Nov. 30 amount to 2870 tons ; imports, 2650 ; the stock is 695 tons. We are happy to be able to report a commencement of continental orders, which we quite expect will devolop into a large trade eventually, if care be taken to send home regular supplies of good standard qualities,— Home News by elect jug telegraph.
