We bog most respectfully to intimate to the Public of Dunedin and Otago generally, that our First Instalment of General Drapery, Millinery, &c. suitable for the Autumn Season, is now opened out, and to request that they will kindly favour us by inspecting the same. Having but recently commenced business, we are fully sensible of the fact that, in order to secure extensive patronage, our Stock must be distinguished a being not only exceptionally good, but first-class. We venture confidently to assert, aud to assure all intending purchasers, that in every Department our present Autumn Stock will be found fully equal, and indeed superior, to that of any other house in town. We believe it to be superior from the simple fact that every article is quite new, having been purchased by us since commencing business. In reference to prices, we are sure that purchasers will be enabled to see for themselves that at no other establishment in Dunedin can they buy to greater advantage, as this matter has also received our serious consideration j the result being that we are fully resolved to secure a large trade by selling at the very lowest possible figures. With a view to maintain our position as holders of the best and most varied Drapery Stock here, we have entered into arrangements with agents in London, Glasgow, and Melbourne, whose duty it will be to keep us at all times well supplied by monthly shipments, and to send on by every opportunity all the Novelties and Fashions of each season. We beg also to draw the attention of Ladies to our Dress Making, Mantle, and Millinery Departments : For the first department, we have secured the services of Miss Secular as fore•woman, who has had many years’ experience in some of the best Home firms, and who has already given great satisfaction to several of our Customers. Miss Cameronwell known in Dunedin as a first-class artiste— superintends the Mantle Making, and Mias Stewart the Millinery. We anticipate for these three departments liberal patronage, as we can assure Customers that all work will be done promptly and satisfactorily. We are confident that our very extensive and well-assorted Stock of Autumn Goods will gain the approval of all who may honor us with a visit of inspection.
