The amount of revenue received at the Cub* tom-house on’goods cleared for consumption to-day, was £236 15s 4d. In breadstuff's the market is quiet. There is a steady trade demand in flour, but as prices may be expected to decline immediately on the new crop coming to market, bakers cannot be expected to arrange for parcels. For best brands, the price is Id 3, inferior flours are dull at L 9 10s to LlO 10s. Oatmeal is quoted at Ll3 and Ll3 10s. Pearl barley, LI7. The market is very bare of bran, and parcels may be quitted at L 3. For pollard there is a large sale at L 4, There have been a few small lots of old wheat disposed of at 5s to 5s 3d. None of the new crops is yet to hand, but prices most probably will be much easier. For oats, there is no disposition to buy over 2s for good clear samples. Malting barley is scarce, and may bv quoted at 4s. Feeding kinds are unsaleable over la 9d. Potatoes are wanted at LB. Straw, L2 ss, Hay, L 3 15s. Chaff, L 4 ss. A. Mercer reports for the week ending February 3 Retail prices—Fresh butter, in ilb. and 11b. prints, best quality, 7d to 8d per lb. ; second quality, (3d to 7d ; powdered and salt butter, 7d per lb. There is still a falling off in the quantity coining in, and butter is in much better demand. There is no improvement in the cheese market; best quality, 6d to Sd per lb. ; second quality, Sd to 6d. Side and rolled bacon, 9d to lOd per lb. English hams aud cheese are quite unsaleable, at Is -Id per lb. Colonial hams, lOd to Is per lb. Eggs are very scarce, and selling at Is 3d per dozen.
