Wallace returned to the Bluff’, from Stewart’s Island, with the excursion party late last night, and proceeded to Riverton early this morning to load up wool for Dunedin. She calls at Bluff for passengers on her return, and will probably arrive here early on Saturday. The brigantine Stranger, from Newcastle, coal laden, was signalled at the Reads this forenoon, and at 1.30 p.m. sailed up to a discharging berth. The ketch Defiance, for Kakanui, with cargo, sailed this forenoon.
The schooner Result arrived this forenoon from Waikouaiti.
The s. s. Storm Bird for Invercargill, and the Pretty Jane for the Molyneux, with passengers and cargo, sailed last evening. The Pretty Jane anchored at the Heads during the night, and proceeded on her voyage this morning.
