This Day, (Before bis Worship the Mayor and G. Brodie, Esq., J.P.) drunkenness, Peter M‘Liskey was fined 20s or 48 hours’ imprisonment. rpuioys DRIVING, Alonzo Grenuau was further remanded for a week, being admitted to bail as before himself in a surety o? LIO, and a surety of like amount, OFFENCES AGAINST THE BYE-LAW'S, Robert Cramond, senior, Robert Cramond, junior, Daw Taylor, Caleb Moore, George M. Govern, and Robert M'Millan, w'orc each fined 2s (id and costs ; Wm. Harrold, Wm. Hall, and Alex. Wallace, 5s and costs, each, for driving round street corners at other tbap a walking pace. John Gardner and John Dale were each charged with evading payment of 1011, ft appeared that on the 25th inst. the defendants proceeded down Great King street, turned into Duke street, struck into the Town Belt, and emerged on to the N. E. Valley road, beyond the toll. Their movements were observed by Sergt. Bevan, to whom they said they had paid toll, but this was denied by the keeper. They were lined 20s and costs each.
