The amount of revenue received at the Cus tom-house on goods cleared for consumption to-day, was £7Ol 3s 7d. Bakers parcels in flour arc moving readily at Ll3 per ton for good Brands. The stocks on town miller’s hands will be pretty well exhausted by the time the new wheat is in this market. For second class flour a good demand exists, and retailers are able to go through a fair quantity to private customers, at low prices. Oatmeal has a good trade sale at LI3 10s. The demand from northern provinces is rather slack at present. Pearl barley moves sloyly at Ll7. The market

badly supplied with bran, filer’s rates are unchanged. Pollard, therels a .good sale at X 4. There is no milling wheat offering, and there is no likelihood of any business being done in this until the new crop is in. Oats are quiet at 2s. Barley, for malting, is wanted at 3s 9d; feeding is unsaleable. Straw, L2 10s. Hay, new, L 4. Chaff, L 3 10s. A.f Mercer reports for the week ending January 27 :—Retail prices—Fresh butter, in ilb. and lib. prints, best quality, 7d to 8d per lb. : second quality, 6d ; powdered and salt butter, 7d per lb. ; fresh butter, in lumps, Cd par lb. Butter is not near so plentiful this week, and there is a greater demand. There is no improvement in theclies.sc market, and stock very heavy ; 'for best quality, 6d to 8d per lb. ; second quality, 5d to 6d. Side and rolled bacon, best quality, 9d per lb. Colonial hams, Is per lb. Eggs, Is per dozen, and very scarce.
