MAYOR’S COURT.
This Day. (Before His Worship the Mayor.) DRUNK AUD DISORDERLY. The following persons were charged with the above offence : - Wm. Hoare fined 10s ; in default of payment, 24 hours’ hard labor. Joseph Pacehoeleiouff, 10s or 48 hours’ hard labor. James Armstrong, 10s or 24 hours’ hard labor. Kate Farm, 40s or 14 days’ hard labor; and Margaret Stewart, 40s or 14 days’ hard labor. OBSCENE LANGUAGE. Thomas White, for this offence, was remanded for seven days to give him an opportunity of leaving the town. MINOR OFFENCE. John E. Hutchinson, David Millar. John Teudwolt, and Chares Brown, charged by Inspector Kimon with allowing water supplied by the Dunedin Waterworks Company to run to waste, were discharged with a caution ; whilst John Lovell, Edward Carroll, and Wm. Lindsay were fined Is each. BREACH OF BYE-LAWS. John M'Laughlin, Henry Jones, and Thomas Cross were each fined in the sum of Is for leaving their cabs in the street without horses being harnessed to them. Wm. Hooper and Wm. Barnes were charged with exposing goods for sale without being licensed ; the former was fined 29a and costs, and the latter 10s and costs.
