The s.s. Beautiful Star, with passengers and cargo from Lyttelton and intermediate pirts arrived this morning, and was placed alongside the ship May Queen to tranship cargo. . The s.s, Phoebe sailed last evening with a number of passengers, a large general cargo for Northern ports, and a large consignment of wool for transhipment to the American snail steamship Nebraska, at Auckland. The clipper ship Carrick Castle was this morning unmoored for sea. The weather being threatening and squally, the services *of the steam tug Geelong were secured, and the ship took her departure for London this forenoon with passengers, and a very valuable cargo of New Zealand products, as under—37lß bales of wool, 2309 cases preserved meats, 13 bales leather, 107 casks tallow, 6 kegs butter, and 18,178 ounces of gold. This fine vessel will be followed by the clipper ship J. N. Fleming, which vessel is preparing to sail on Saturday next with passengers and a full cargo for Loudon. The s.s. Wanganui was this morning placed in the Floating Dock for the usual .periodical overhaul. The ps. Wallace arrived last evening from Oamaru with a number of passengers, 150 bales of wool, 140 sheep, and sundries. Landed passengers and sheep, discharged cargo, and sailed at 8.30 p.m. for the same destination. BY ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH. ARRIVED. Invercargill.—lßth, early, Pretty Jane, from Dunedin. SAILED.
