r.'M&v, This D^y, (Before His Worship the Mayor.) Drunkenness. James Morrison was discharged with a caution, it being his first offence. Andrew Nicholson was fined ss, ATTEMPTED SUICIDE. Isabella Tassey, on remand, was charged with attempting to commit suicide by taking laudanum. It appeared from the evidence of Mr Bagley that she had been in the habit of taking laudanum for years past, and the medical evidence was to the effect that the quantity she took on this occasion was not sufficient to to kill her. She was discharged.
