This Day. (Before his Worship the Mayor.) VAGRANCY. Police v. William Birchard —Making use of indecent language. Owing to defendant's previous good character, he was let oil' with a severe caution. IU.I'GAhI.Y ON PUKMISKS. Eliza Page v. John Jacobson.—Defusing to leave complainant’s garden on the night of the 26th. Defendant, in cross examination, elicited that he had been in complainant’s house several times before doing a little polishing. His Worship considered the case a trivial one, and fined defendant 2s Gd and costs—in default, 24 hours’ imprisonment. rujiioushv muim;. Earnest Lucas, for this offence, was lined
60s and costs. Several persons m Court testified as to the reckless manner the defendant drove a horse and buggy along King street on the evening of the 26th. CATTLE STRAYING. The following persons were charged with this offence:—Robert Gooclison, David Calder, case dismissed ; Ellen Collins, fined 10s and costs; Alexander Patter, fined 2s 6d and costs.
