MAYOR’S COURT.
This Dav. (Before His Worship the Mayor.) DRUNKENNESS. A. H. Rudd, for indecent exposure, was ordered to be imprisoned 24 hours, with hard labor. John Sherlock, for drunkenness, was fined 10s., or 24 hours. John Shipley, alias John Chopley, lined 5s ; Matthew Bearing, IQs., with the usual alternative. attempted suicide, Christina Sampson, for attempting to commit suicide by throwing herself into a water-hole in Rattray street, was ordered to be bound in L 25 to keep the peace for six months. THREATENING LANGUAGE. A charge by Samuel Slosinger against John Tristran was dismissed, on a promise by the defendant not to repeat the offence. DEFENCES AGAINST THE BYE-LAWS. On informations by Inspector Nimon Mrs Towers, for neglecting to clean her premises, was fined 5s ; C. Condors, Is., for trotting his horse round the corner of Rattray street ; D. Breeze, for damaging the footpath by throwing stones upon it, was adjourned to Friday. A second charge, for injuring the footpath in Hanover street by throwing stones upon it, was fined ss. and costs.
