NO I.—The Dunedin Artillery, Naval, and First Battalion, Otago R.V., will parade for C unmaning Officers’ Inspection and Battalion Drill, at 7.30 p.m., on Thursday, the 4th January, 1872, in front of the Custom House. The sites appropriated for Refreshment Booths at the forthcoming Caledonian Gathering, to be held in the North Dunedin Recreation Ground on Monday and Tuesday, tho Ist and 2nd January, 1872. A plan of the Booths can be seen on the day of sale at the rooms of the Auctioneer^. RATEPAYERS desirous of appealing against the assessment levied by the Dunedin Waterworks Company, will have an opportunity of doing so by applying to the undersigned daily between tho hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., who are instructed to take the necessary steps free of charge to the ratepayers.
