Tho amount of revenue received at the Cus-tom-house on goods cleared for consumption to-day, was £429 13s Id. In breadstuff's no material change can be reported. Stocks of flour are pretty heavy both in town and country, and this is causing wheat to be neglected, although some of the millers have been offering an advance on last week’s rates. For wheat, fit only for second-class flour, the inquiry has almost entirely fallen off; fowl wheat is easily placed, at 3s to 3s 3d. For barley a dull feeling has prevailed in the market, and transactions have been unimportant both in malting and feeding sorts. Oats have slightly hardened, but as there is a very large quantity still in the country, a decided rise can scarcely be expected. Bran is moving slowly, and there is little prospect of an improvetrade ment. Flour may be quoted at LI 3; in lots for parcels Ll2 10s has been accepted. Pollard is at L 3 15s ; bran, L2 10s; oatmeal, Ll3 10s ; pearl barley, LIS 10s. Good milling wheat has met with purchasers at 5a 3d and 5s 4d; second-class has been quitted with difficulty at 4s 6d to 4s Bd. Butter is still very plentiful, and a great quantity of butter being salted down both in town and country, the stock is very heavy. There is no improvement in the cheese market—stocks heavy, and demand light, and prices are likely to be very low this season ; for fine old cheese 6d to 8d per lb, and second quality 4d to 6d. Side and rolled bacon, smoked or otherwise, 9d to lOd per lb. Colonial hams, lOd to Is. English hams and English cheese are quite unsaleable, at Is 4d per lb.
