Maori arrived this morning with passengers and cargo from Lyttelt on and intermediate ports. The p s. Wallace arrived from Oamaru last evening, and sailed at midnight for the same port, with excursionists. The s.s. Phoohe, with passengers, cargo, and mails from northern ports, arrived this forenoon with the English, European, and American mails, via San Francisco. A topsail schooner from the Coast, supposed to be the Loch Leven, passed up at 1.40 this afternoon. The schooner Pioneer sailed early this morning for Waikava. The Harbour Company’s steamers were engaged on excursion trips to and from Port Chalmers and Portobello at reduced faros.
