OFFENCES AGAINST THE BYE-LAWS. William Watkins, for having ag upregig tered dog was fined, 40s. A " charge of a similar nature against Joseph Munton was dismissed, the Bench having a doubt as to the ownership of the dog. Thomas Lees, for leaving his horse, wag fined Is and costs ; James Muir, for allowing cattle to stray, 10b and coats; Michael Heads, for carrying an improper number of passengers in his cab, 5s and costs ; and Amery M'Donald, for building without a license, 5s and costs. William Colborne was charged with plying for Ipre with his cab off the stand. The Mayor observed the defendant k a d keen summoned times out of nhuiber without thji slightest effect, and instructed the Inspector to report him to the Council, with a view to having his license cancelled. He was fined 5s and costs.
