The amount of revenue received at the Cus-tom-house on goods cleared for consumption to-day, was £154 10s Bd. There is no alteration to report in the prices of breadstuft's. In Hour a good steady trade is being done. Town brands are saleable at Ll3 to LI 3 10s, and outside brands at a little under this rate. The demand from the Northern Provinces continues active. Bran stocks are becoming light; trade lots are met at L2 15-. Pollard is scarce, and L 3 15s the quotation. Wheat of best quality is wanted, but as 5s is the highest price offered, there is little likelihood of much being done ; for inferior lots there is no sale. Oats have not improved ; the small shipments that are being made tend iu no way to clear the market. Malting barley is fairly supplied, at prices from 3s 6d to 3s 9d. Good feeding lots may be quoted at 2s to 2s 3d. Potatoes are better supplied. Wheat, 4s 9d to 5s ; oats, Is 9d to 2s; barley, 2s to 2s 3d, and 3s Cd to 3s 9d ; flour, LI3 to LI3 10s—inferior, LlO 10a ; oatmeal, Ll4; bran, L2 15s; pollard, L 3 15s ; pearl barley, LI ( J ; potatoes, L 6; hay, L 4 10s; chaff, L 4 10s; straw, L2 10s; turnips, L2. A. Mercer reports for the week ending Nov. 25. —Retail prices only : Fresh butter, in 4 and 11b prints, first-class quality, 7d to 9d per lb ; second-class fresh butter, 6d Kr lb ; fresh butter, in lumps, Gd to 7d per ; salt and powdered butter, Sd per lb. There is no improvement iu the market for cheese; the market is completely glutted, and lots [offering for first-class qualities, fid to 8d per lb, and second-class 4d to fid per lb. Side and rolled bacon : there is little demand, and selling at fid to lOd per lb. Colonial hams, 10d to Is per lb ; English hams a.ro not much asked for, and selling at Is 4d per lb. Eggs selling very freely at Is per dozen, and the market not overstocked.
