At an influential meeting held here yesterday, it was resolved, to form a Bishop Patteson memorial fund, and the churches in the other Provinces, India, England, and Australia are to be invited to subscribe to the fund, which is to be devoted to the general purposes of the Melanesian Mission, and to building a missionary vessel to be called the Bishop Patteson. A memorial to
the Queen, calling for the suppression of the labor trait!c. was adopted. An Odd Fellows’ lodge has been opened at the Thames, A Choral Society of 100 members has been formed. ..
