SHOOTING MATCH.

A rifle match was fired at Anderson’s Bay range this morning between the Artillery and the North Dunedin Rifles, resulting from a challenge by the former corps. The weather was good, -but a strong haze prevented “ tall ” shooting, The highest scores are Gunner Reid, for the Artillery, with 49, aud iSergt. Nightingale for the Rifles, with 41. One of the team of the former company was absent, but, as the scores show, his services were not required. The conditions were five shots at ranges of 200, 500, and 600 yards, Hythe position at the first, and any position at the other ranges, Wimhledora targets,. Government rifles and ammunition. No sighting shots, sunshades, slings, artificial rests, &c. The following are the scores
