(FROM OrEVTLLE’S TELEGRAM COMPANY, REUTER’S AGENTS.) Cromwell, November 6. A respectable miner named John Luscombe, was drowned in a waterrace at the Garrick Range, on, Saturday night. He leaves a widow and five children. An inquest is to be held to-morrow. Salmon has been seen in the Clutba, near Cromwell. Wellington, November G. Two men named Judd are missing, who went out on a fishing excursion. They are supposed to have been dtowned. The oars, sail, and boat have been found, but no trace of the men. Henry Williams, in a fit of delirum, jumped from a hotel window and broke his leg. He died 2-1 hours afterwards. Christchurch. Peeress is favorite for the Cup. Betting even on Peeress; 3] to 2 against Knottingley; 4 to 1 against Flying Fish. *
