Bran stocks are somewhat reduced, but still the market is full. Wheats remain unchanged, the millers are not buying to any extent. Best samples may be quoted at 5s to 5s 3d ; second class is not wanted. Barley has purchasers at 2s 3d to 2s 6d for feeding kinds, and 3s bd for malting. Wheat, 5s to 5s 3d ; oats, 2s to |2s 2d; barley, 2s 3d and 3s fid ; flour, Ll3 to Ll3 10s ; pollard, L 4 15s, with bags; bran, L 3 15s, with bags ; oatmeal, Ll4; pearl barley, LlO ; fowl wheat, 3s ; straw, L2 10s ; hay, L 4 10s; chaff, L 4 10s; potatoes, L 6 ss; turnips, LI 10s ; carrots, none in the market. A. Mercer reports for the week ending jjov. 4.—Retail prices only ; Fresh butter, in i and lib prints, 7d to 9d per lb, according to quality ; fresh butter, in lumps, 7d ; salt and powdered butter 8d per lb ; salt butter, in kegs-there is a good demand at 8d per lb ; the market is completely glutted with cheese, and the demand very slight; good quality, fid to 8d per lb. Side and rolled bacon : the market is quite stocked ; good quality selling at 8d to Od per lb ; Colonial hams, lOd to Is per lb ; English hams, Is 4d per lb, but no demand. Eggs are not so plentiful and in good demand at lOd to 1s per dozen.
