The amount of revenue received at the Ons tom-house on goods cleared for consumption to-day, was £SBB 18s Bd.
Messrs Greville and Co., iu their report of the wool market at Sydney on October 4th, state; —The arrival of several American wool dealers to purchase, and establish business relations with Australia, caused a little excitement, and has already led t© large transactions here, for although our wool season cannot be considered fairly opened, those who have received portions of the new clip met with the demand without waiting for further advices from England, in order to secure an introduction for Sydney wool to America. Operations here hare been sufficiently large e .ough to provide freight for one vessel. The ship Game Cock and the barque Golconde are advertised to load with wool—the former for New York, and the latter for Boston. 't auction, yesterday, competition was brisk, and some good lots sold. Scoured, at 9d to 17d ; fleece, 17|d to 18d ; greasy, 7id to 9Jd j sheepskins, 5d to 7ijd,
