SAILED. Lyttelton—October 27, 1.30 p.m, Gothenburg, for Dunedin. The s. s. Alhambra arrived this morning from Melbourne, via the Bluff, and her passengers and mails were shortly after arrival conveyed to Dunedin by the Harbour steamers. The 8.3. Maori with passengers and cargo, arrived early this morning. Thes.s. Beautiful Star with cargo from Lyttelton and intermediate ports, arrived this foreno n. The s.s. Wellington sailed at 1 p.m. today, with passengers, cargo and mails for northern ports, and the English mails, via San Francisco, for transhipment to the American mail steamer Nevada, at Auckland. Thes.s. Pretty Jane sails this evening for Oamaru. The shipping in harbour to-day again wore their colours half mast high in respect to the memory of the late Mis Cargill. The ship Peter Denny, from London, arrived at the Heads at 2 p.m. to-day, and signalled all well. She reached the lower anchorage at 3.30 p.m.
