S. “On the Sea Bears of the Southern Secs,” by J. S. Webb. A description of the presents recently received by the Institute from the Smithsonian Institution of Washington, and the Museum of comparative Zoology of Harvard College, with an account of the rise and progress of these institutions. The Council will meet on the same evening before the above meeting to consider any nominations of new members that may be sent in. _ .
