This Day. (Before his Worship the Mayor.) DRUNKENNESS. Allan M 'Dougall was fined ss, and Samuel Farra. an old offender, 40s or 14 days imprisonment for being drunk. CHARGE OF FORGERY. Arthur Dummock, alias Dimmock, was charged on remand with uttering a forged cheque. The additional evidence was that of Mr Suter, farmer, Pleasant Valley, in whose name the cheque was purported to be drawn, who said that the signature was not his. The prisoner was committed for trial. MINOR OFFENCE. A charge of plying for hire off the stand was preferred against Arthur Ford, a cabman, which was dismissed.
