Religious. —The induction of the Rev. Mr Cow to the pastorate of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church took place this afternoon. The Presbytery of Dunedin, which was represented by the Rev, J. M'Naughton, moderate; Revs. W. Wil', W. Gillies, D. M. Stuart, Dr Copland, C. Sutherland, and Gregg, met in the church at two o’clock. The moderator preached the ordination sermon. The Hev. Mr Cow having replied to the usual questions, the Presbytery proceeded to his ordination, and the imposition of hands. After an add reps to the minister by th« Her. Mr'Johnaton, Mr Cow was duly adn ifcted to the pastoral charge of the congregation. The Rev. Mr Watt addressed the congregation; and at the close of the service, the latter welcomed their minister as they retired. There will be a soiree in the church this evening.
