The amount of revenue received at the Cus tom-house on goods cleared for consumption to-day, was £246 19s 2d. In grain prices are steady at last rates. Good wheat, especially from the Taieri district, is wanted. The millers are quoting 5s ; but for prime lots an advance of 3d on this would be given. '• Biers’ stocks arobecoming very light both in town and country ; ami had they to depend on wheat now in the market, many of them would have to stop. Inferior wheat is not so scarce, and may be had at 4s 6d to 4s 9d, Fowl wheat lias a good sale at 2s 9d and 3s. Oats are as last quoted, and there is no appearance of improvement. We may quote inferior barl yat 2s 3d : the stock of this staple has greatly diminished, and there is every prospect of higher prices being obtained soon. Malting kinds arc quiet at 3s fid. The Irade inquiry for flour is good at LI3 10s. There is a failquantity of inferior in the market at from L 9 10s to LI 1!0 . Potatoes are scarce. Eggs are at present very plentiful, and selling at 10d per dozen.
