The north German brig Emma, Captain Jesselseo, from the Mauritius, with a cargo of sugar consigned to Wilkinson and Co., and seven Chinese passengers, was signalled at the Heads last evening, and towed up te her discharging berth at II a.m. to day. The F.mm» left Mauritius on August 31, and experienced fine weather daring the pasts**. The barque Esk, for Newcastle, was towed to sea this forenoon. The barque Bengal, for Newcastle, was preparing for towing to sea this afternoon. The Ah uriri arrived from the Bluff this morning. The schooner Excelsior, from the Coast, passed np towards Dunedin this forenoon. The s.s. Beautiful Star sailed last evening for the Bluff. The i t. Maori left Timaru to day at 9.15 a.m. for Fort Chalmers, calling at Oamaru for a quantity of sheep for the Dunedin market. She may be expected at the wharf about eleven o’clock to-night, and sails again on her usual northern tnp to morrow afternoon.
