MAYOR’S COURT.
This Day. (Before his Worship the'’Mayor.) DRUNKENNESS. Alice Hawley was sentenced to 14 days’ imprisonment, with hard labor, for habitual drunkenness. OFFENCES AGAINST THE BYE-LAWS. Margaret Johnson was fined 5s for emptying a closet, at the hour of 9 a.m., in Manor place. James Fraser, ss, for throwing rubbish in the Water of Leith. T. Delahnnty was fined 5a for leaving his horse in Princes street. Peter Forbes, ss, for permitting a sow to wander in Eden street. Gideon Brunton, 2s 6d and costs, for applying for hire while off the stand. William Jenkins, ss, tor neglecting to clean his premises in Manor place. Geo. A lexander and Geo. Yaund were both charged with taking down and rebuilding a house in Harbor terrace without giving the required notice to the surveyor, and were each fined ss.
