THE RAID ON THE MILKMEN’S MEASURES.
To the Editor, Sir, —As one of the victims summoned at the Mayor’s Court on Monday last I consider it due to myself to let the public know the summons was only issued for the measures not being stamped. Now, sir, I think it a great hardship, although my measures are shown to contain the proper quantity, I should be summoned for such. 1 did not know where to apply for the stamping process, therefore why not make the vendor of the measures the proper person to be summoned. I aln only drawing the attention of the public to this, as it is calculated to dp me some harm iu ipy trade. They might fancy the measures were short, when all the while the City Inspector, and the party who sold them declared them to be full measurement.—Yours, &c M Victim;
