MAYOR'S COURT.
This Day. (Before his Worship the Mayor.) CHARGE OF ROBBEI. /. The remanded case of Charles Robertson, for stealing a silver lever hunting watch from the person of William Rough, was again heard aftd remanded for seven days more. OFFENCES AGAINST THE BYE-LAWS. John Gow, of Cumberland street, and Mary Thompson, of Walker street, were fined for suffering the chimneys of their houses to be on fire. Richard Jordan, butcher, was fined 10s and costs for riding upon the footway of Dowling street without the permission of the Corporation. ASSAULT, John Bates was charged with assaulting Mary Mooney, by striking her in the face _and kicking her. His Worship, after hearing the case, fined the assailant 5s and costs.
