Beautiful Star arrivedat 8.30 a.m. from Bluff ; sailed from Port Chalmers on Saturday at 11 p.m. : arrrived at the Bluff at 7.30 p.m. on Sunday ; sailed again, yesterday, at 4.20 p.m. Had fine weather. Cargo 1500 cases meat. The attempt to float the barque Premier off the rocks at Oamaru, made during the last spring tides, has, we are sorry to hear, been again unsuccessful. On pumping out the water, one of the planks of the ceiling was found to be displaced, to secure which it was necessary to again cant the vessel. The time required to accomplish this prevented ziy hope of getting the barque off until next spring tides. A party remain by her, and it is to be hoped that their perseverance will then be rewarded. The screw steamer Pretty Jane, from Bluff, and the Ahuriri and Maori, from Lyttelton and intermediate ports, arrived early this morning, with passengers, cargo, and mails. _ , , The barque Esk, from Newcastle, coal laden, which arrived at the Hoads yesterday morning, sailed in, and anchored at the Port last evening.
