S k—Will yon oblige me by informing thp public that I have -written Mr Justice Chap, man a letter this morning in total repudiation of the charges alleged iu his summing up on last Friday in Regina v. Hayes; aud that unless his 'r onor had rather I did not, 1 have suggested to him that I should, and I intend and shall publish my letter.—l am, &c. Joun Stamper. Dunedin, Sept. 18, 1871.
