Inquest, —An inquest was held at the Lunatic Asylum to-day, on the body of Janies Kisly, an innate, and a verdict returned of disease from general paralysis. Supreme Court. trial •was the all-important topic of conversation to-day; and in order to make roopj for a full report of the Judge’s charge to the jury, we have held over a considerable quantity of local matter. Wc had intended to give the summing-up verbatim, but had to abandon the idea, as our space would not allow of its being done. The jury retired to consider their verdict at 12.20 p.m., and at 4.30 there was no sign of them agreeing. Indeed from the foreman’s modest request to be allowed to dine, there is every reason to think no agreement ts tkcly to, be arrived at to-night. The Court was proceeding with the trial of Thomas States, for when our reporter left.
