Wellington, September 6. Mr John Williamson has beeu returned for Auckland City, West, wi.hout opposition. The whole cf the afternoon’s titting, of the House, was occupied on a discussion on Mr Farnall’s resolution for the allocation of L 20.000 a-year out of tbe annual grant for reads in the North Island, to be spent in the district to the north of Auckland City. The debate was ultimately adjourned till after the delivery of the Financial statement.
