This Day. (Before his Worship the Mayor.) DRUNKENNESS. Alex. Cowie, for drunkenness, was fined 20s, or three days’ imprisonment. A charge of being a habitual drunkard preferred against him was dismissed, accused heing severely cautioned. THEFT. David Jones, charged with stealing a quantity of calico at Tuapeka, was remanded till to-morrow. _____
