(FROM OREVILLE's TELEGRAM COMPANY, eeuter’s agency.) Wellington, Sept. 5. A timber waggon at the Hutt upset, fatally injuring George Rijan, the driver. Greymouth, Sept. 5. The agitation, praying the General Government to assume the control of the S. W. Nelson goldfields is being continued. Meetings have been held at the Half Ounce and Granville, and unanimously adopted I’esolutions condemning the Nelson Govi r iment. An additional 500 signatures to the petition were obtained in one night. Wellington, Sept 5. Mr Reid gave "notice to-day of his intention to introduce bis Land Bill, and Mr Harrison gave notice of a motion that the principal Telegraph offices be kept open until 10 p.m. during the session. The Petitions Committee report against the further consideration of Major Croker’s case. The Motueka Election Committee has been adjourned till Thursday ; and also Macandrew’s resolutions.
