ROSLYN ELECTION.
The nomination of candidates to represent' Roslyn in the House of Representatives, in the i'o am of Mr Driver resigned, took place at the Waikari Drill shed to-day at noon. There were about thirty persons present, and Mr Strode, the returning officer, presided. The following were the nominations made:— Mr W. H. Cutten—proposed by Mr G» Hepburn, seconded by Mr W. Barr, M.P.CV Mr Edward M'Glashan—proposed by Mr James Galloway, seconded by Mr R. Howlinson. Mr James MTndoe—proposed by Mr Alexander Begg. seconded by Mr James Mowatt. Mr Johu Graham—proposed by Mr James Mowatt, seconded by Mr John Bond, Mr John Cargill—proposed by Mr James Mowatt seconded by Mr Alexander Begg. The show of hands was in favor of Mr Cntten. A poll was demanded by Mr M'Glasban, and will be taken on the 12th inst.
