The Returning Officer, Mr A. C. Strode, officially declared, the state of the po 1 at tliQ Drill Shed at noon. ■' The nurobera were givep, pr *mr issue on Tuesday evening. ' Returning Officer stated he had received a letter from Mr Macassey regretting that in consequence of an engagement at the Supreme Court he could not be present, and thanking the electors for returning him as their representative.
